Survey in progress
We are preparing the community survey Thousand Oaks residents deserve.
We will be conducting an online survey the City failed to provide. We will ask citizens what they would most like to see on the land currently allocated for the City’s Downtown Project.
The survey will give residents an opportunity to share their priorities for how the land should be used and what kind of place would best serve the community.
Topics we plan to ask about
- Land-use prioritiesThe right mix of homes, shops, services, open space, and community facilities.
- Building height and densityThe scale and concentration of development that feel appropriate for Thousand Oaks.
- Tree preservation and landscapingHow mature and protected trees, shade, habitat, and new landscaping should be handled.
- Architectural character and aestheticsThe styles, materials, setbacks, and streetscape features that reflect our community.
- Traffic, parking, and mobilityHow the plan should address driving, parking, walking, bicycling, and public transit.
- Parks and public gathering placesThe public spaces and amenities residents would actually use.
- Housing choices and affordabilityThe types of homes and affordability levels that should be considered.
- Local businesses and community servicesThe shops, restaurants, civic uses, and everyday services residents want.
- Infrastructure and environmental impactsHow water, roads, schools, public safety, and the environment should shape the plan.
